What we learned about the new Fort Collins restaurant that opened last week
Posted October 08, 2018 11:21:49The latest Fort Collins news comes courtesy of Eater, which has a new piece by James D. Leopold about the opening of The Big Stone Crab, the new Russian restaurant at Fort Collins.
According to the story, the restaurant will be “dedicated to serving the finest Russian cuisine in the state.”
It’s not immediately clear what the menu might look like, though Eater notes that the menu will be similar to what we’ve seen at some other Russian restaurants, including the famed Moscow Bistro and the legendary Lomuya restaurant in New York City.
The restaurant is located at 1008 S. Main St., just west of I-25.
The restaurant will feature “traditional Russian cuisine” on the menu, including an array of appetizers and entrees, including a plate of “Russian puffer fish.”
It’s unclear what the entrees will be.
The location is also likely to draw more diners.
The Fort Collins Times-Call reports that the restaurant was already scheduled to open this week.
Leppold writes that “at this time” the restaurant would be open “every day” and the restaurant’s menu would be “open for lunch and dinner.”
“The menu will feature traditional Russian cuisine and will be updated frequently,” the article says.
The new restaurant is expected to open in early October.
The new Fort Colorado restaurant has a similar concept to the old one, though the new location is smaller.
The Times-Report notes that it will feature a “sushi bar” in addition to a dining area and “a beer garden.”
We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
