What is ramen at a glance?

At first glance, ramen isn’t that different from most other Japanese dishes.

Its a noodle soup with a creamy texture, often stuffed with meat or fish.

But there’s something else that makes ramen special.

It’s called hibashi, which is pronounced “hih-bah-say”.

And unlike most other ramen, the noodles are cooked from scratch.

At this stage, the broth and the noodles come together in a pot called a broth pot, with the meat and the vegetables sitting side-by-side.

In the middle of the soup, a pot of sesame oil is used to stir the ingredients together.

This helps the soup cook faster and the ingredients stay moist longer, making it a good source of protein and calcium.

The noodles are usually served with rice or rice noodles, but some ramen restaurants also serve sashimi, which are often served in an elaborate dish called a shoyu.

It may be a specialty of ramen lovers in Japan, but in America, shoyus have become popular.
