New ‘Mile High’ restaurants open in Boca Raton
Boca, Florida — The latest in a long line of new restaurants to open in Florida is the opening of a new Boca-area restaurant, Mile High, located in the heart of the Boca Beach neighborhood.
Mile high, which has been owned by the same family since 1995, has opened its first location on July 13, 2017 in the former Mile High Food Mart on South Main Street.
It is also one of the newest restaurants in Bonaire.
Miles High has been the source of national headlines, with local TV anchors and celebrities talking about its “fantastic food” and “great service.”
The restaurant’s name comes from the slogan “Milehigh is where it’s at,” which has become a rallying cry in the political and social sphere of the United States, with President Donald Trump and his administration calling for an end to “sanctuary cities” and pledging to fight against the “sanctimonious” sanctuary policies of the federal government.
The restaurants, which will be called Boca’s first, are the first in the region to be open to the public and serve a limited menu of local cuisine.
Miley Cyrus, a member of the Teen Choice Awards, attended a reception at the restaurant where Cyrus was honored for her performance in “Bachelor in Paradise,” the latest installment in the series of reality TV shows.
Miley Cyrus is honored for being on the “Bachelorette” season 4 premiere on the Bonaíra beach.
The Boca restaurant will feature a large patio, a large outdoor seating area, and a bar, with seating for up to 40 people.
Merrill’s restaurant in Boonville, a suburb of Boca on the Florida Keys, has been open since 1997, but has recently been expanding and has been recognized for its work on climate change.
