How Vegan Restaurants Can Help You Save Money and Save Food
It’s a good time to start eating less meat, according to a study.
It found that the average American eats about 10% less meat each year than they did a decade ago.
But what’s the real impact of that?
For the study, researchers surveyed 1,600 adults ages 21 to 85, who were asked if they were vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, or meat-eaters.
The data was then analyzed by researchers at UC San Diego and the University of California at Davis, who compared the meat-eating habits of the participants to those of the general population.
The study found that vegans ate significantly less meat than the average non-vegetarian person, and vegans actually ate more meat than people who did not eat meat.
The researchers also found that meat-based foods, such as burgers, pizza, sausages, and pizza sauces, actually increased the likelihood that a person would eat less meat.
In other words, it makes sense to start cutting back on meat now.
And while there are many options for vegan meals, the one that will probably be your new favorite is the chicken salad.
